Frankenstein: Enlightenment’s Dusk, Romanticism’s Dawn
In this analytic essay, I explored how Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein reflects a transitionary worldview from that of the Enlightenment to one of Romanticism. It won the 2026 GSU Perimeter Campus Star Award.
Environmental Media Studio
The links found within this page connect to projects of which I wrote and digitally published in association with the Environmental Media Studio managed by Georgia Statue University Professor of Rhetoric and Composition Dr. Hannah Hopkins. The first link connects to a project in which I and fellow students analyzed the visual rhetoric of Atlanta’s MARTA stations with a focus on the train stops, and the second link connects to a creative field guide that I wrote on the pedestrian bridges overlooking Decatur Street at Georgia State’s downtown campus.
Joan of Arc: the Genealogy of a Symbol and the French Far Right
In this project I researched the history of how Joan of Arc was used as a symbol for various movements in France. Specifically, I researched how she was and is used by the French far right as a tool of religious nationalism.

Peer Editing Project
This project involved me proposing edits via the Microsoft Word Track Changes feature to two of my classmates’ projects and returning the proposals to them alongside rational for my editing decisions. My editing philosophy involved correcting for common grammatical errors such as comma splices and fused sentences while taking cautions not to drown out the author’s voice.
Placemaking, Belonging, and Advertising
In this project I analyzed the rhetoric behind two pieces of media associated with Georgia State’s Blueline Initiative: One an article by WABE reporting on the project and the second a promotional video narrated by Andrew Young.
Running, Coffee, Poetry, and French: The Literacy of Identity
Here is the final project I researched and wrote for my History of Composition Class. In it, I compare and contrast disparate “literacy narratives,” otherwise known as the journey one undertakes in a specific skill domaine as to achieve competency in it.
Scrivener Bartleby’s Dead; or The Legend of Washington Irving’s and Herman Melville’s usages of the Unhallow
In this essay I explored how Washington Irving and Herman Melville used gothic elements in their respective short stories The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Bartleby the Scrivener.
